For several years, he also served as Spiritual Assistant to the Franciscan Sisters of the Third Order Regular, of the Federation of the Immaculate Conception.
One of Fr. Enrique’s most notable contributions was his dedication to youth ministry through the Baden-Powell Scout movement. He was among the founders of three scout groups: San Diego, the Holy Child of Cebu (Madrid), and the Quintanar Convent (Toledo).
In 2021, after experiencing the challenges of COVID-19, he was transferred to the Provincial Infirmary of La Porciúncula. Later that year, following the Provincial Chapter, he was assigned to the Fraternity of St. Francis and St. Elizabeth in Palma de Gandía, where he was subsequently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
