He received the Minor Orders in Palma on December 20, 1958, the Subdiaconate on December 19, 1959 and the Diaconate on April 2, 1960 in Palma. He was ordained a priest on July 17, 1960 in the Monastery of El Escorial by Bishop Gerardo Herrero.

He studied Humanities in Quintanar de la Orden and at the Porziúncula; Philosophy in Inca and Theology at the Porziúncola.

He obtained the title of Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Valencia in 1960.

In 1961, he was assigned to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Vico and in 1964 to the Parish of San Joseph in Vienna. During his stay in the Austrian capital, he obtained a Diploma in Sacred Music from the National Academy of Music in Vienna. Three years later, in 1967, he returned to Spain and was assigned to the Fraternity of San Francisco de Palma as organist of the basilica and responsibility for pensioner students.

In 1970, he was again assigned to the Parish of Saint Joseph in Vienna and on October 26, 1980 he was appointed parish priest of the same, he returned to Spain after fourteen years and was assigned to the Parish of the Santo Niño de Cebu, Madrid. In the 1987 Congregation, he was made Coadjutor Vicar to the Parish of San Diego and in 1997 he was appointed administrator of that parish.

Fourteen years later, in 2001, he was assigned to the Fraternity of the Parish of Santo Niño de Cebu as Parish Vicar. In 2005, he was appointed Vicar of the Fraternity and treasurer, positions he held until 2013 and in the Congregation of 2017, he was assigned to the Provincial Infirmary of the Porciúncula.

Father Antonio was a great organist and an excellent musician who gave concerts in the main churches of Madrid. He was a man in love with the city of Vienna and with a very characteristic humor.

On October 22 at 3:45 p.m., he was unexpectedly, yet peacefully, visited by Sister Death. In recent years, he had been excellently cared for by the fraternity and the infirmary staff of the Porziúncola; years in which he was declining in ability but gaining in sweetness and grace.

On Tuesday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m., his funeral took place in the church of the Porciúncula, Mallorca, and on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m., in the parish of San Francisco in Madrid, his ashes were laid where those of his brother Fr. Juan Gallego Zambrana, TOR also rest.

We accompany his brotherhood and his family, in the person of his niece, Mrs. Isabel Gallego, in condolences. We pray to the Lord to welcome him to himself and make him enjoy the eternal symphony of the blessed.
